What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used 23,000 KES to pay my collage fee. I invested 20,000 KES in second hand clothes businsess. I also spent the remaining portion of the transfer on other household items.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm now pursuing my diploma education which I couldn't have undertaken without GD support. Besides, I have a reliable source of income from the business I commenced.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it is in touch with the beneficiaries directly. Having said that, GD should also do in person follow up to ascertain whether what the beneficiaries are saying over the phone that they have done with the money is true.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received the second transfer, I used 25000 KES from it to construct a new house with iron sheets; bought a sofa set and leased a garden for tomato farming.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I was staying in a grass thatched house, but now I have a nice house with iron sheets on the roof.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy a bed a mattress. I used to sleep in very old bedding before. I also spent part of the transfer to buy food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to spend part of the transfer to construct a
new house. My current house is grass thatched and in a very dilapated condition. I may also use part of the transfer to start poultry keeping project. This will make gain some income as its very marketable in my area.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My plan is to build a new house since the current one is thatched roofed and leaks during rainy seasons, I also intend to use part of it to pay college fees for myself and lastly buy some household items like furniture.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of is having completed secondary school even though it was a hustle since fees was not readily available and most of the times I would be sent home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is on paying college fees for my accounting course that I'm currently undertaking.I have no proper source of income hence getting the fees is very difficult.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I'm at the college and interacting with my fellow students and teacher for better part of the morning and evening.
