How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Life is a bit different because the manner in which we used to struggle to keep the family afloat is no longer the case today. I feel that the financial burden has reduced significantly courtesy of the transfers that we have been getting every month.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a goal which is to accumulate some savings over the next few months which of course will go a long way in helping me to pay school fees for my child. At times getting such a huge amount of money required by the schools is never an easy thing so I have to make sure I make some savings every month.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference for me I would say is that I have been able to support my family financially using the transfers that I have been getting every single month. I always make sure that there is enough food for everyone in the house as well as buying other household needs on a day to day basis.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I think once my wife starts her small business then at some point life will change because we will have an additional amount to supplement our daily budget. Most of the financial pressure on me will subside by then.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months ago, I was never able to make plans, especially on cash expenditures because I was never sure of getting a consistent flow of money. However, today, it is guaranteed that I will get some cash at the end of the month, and it gives me the confidence of even borrowing or buying goods on credit because I am sure of re-paying the debts at the end of the month.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My plan right now is to make major repairs and adjusting the size of my kitchen structure so that it can be able to accommodate my visitors in the event that they come to pay me a visit. My wife also needs a spacious place to cook instead of just having to squeeze in a very small place which makes her cooking experience quite unpleasant.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference that I have seen in my life is that I have been able to sort my financial needs with utmost ease as compared to how I used to strain in the past. Taking care of the financial needs of the family used to be an uphill task considering the high prices of commodities as compared to the little income I earn from my job.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that by the end of six months from today, the expansion of the kitchen structure will be fully completed. I will have an extra room attached to the kitchen building where I will be able to host my visitors who come to pay me a visit.

I have a new goal of fencing my home which is currently very insecure as all who pass by can easily get access into the home.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different than it would have been without the transfer because I currently find it easy completing the construction of my house which had remained at a stand still condition for more than a year.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in almost angles. First, I expect to live an improved living standard with the monthly income I will be receiving. Secondly, I expect to live in a fully constructed house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the happiness I have acquired with the assurance the monthly transfers have given me. The stress I had before of acquiring my daily meals if a foregone story since I began receiving the transfers.
