What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have been having challenges in paying school fees for my last born child in secondary school. My hopes and prayers are to find someone who can sponsor her education because I am sure I will not be able to take her to college due to financial challenges. I struggle to pay her school fees because what I make daily from the casual jobs that I do in the village is not sufficient enough for fee payment and food. Receiving these transfers will, however, enable me to pay her school fees as well as buy food for the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Amidst all the struggles that I go through daily to make ends meet for my family, what has brought me happiness over the last six months is the fact that I and my family have been living in good health.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I used to depend on casual jobs like farming or fetching water for people to earn a living. These kinds of jobs are, however, becoming scarce because of the prolonged drought in the area which affected my income. The frustration that comes with it is beyond imagination. Therefore, my current challenge is lack of jobs to earn a living so that I can provide for my family.
