How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Give Directly's transfers have helped me seek for treatment and build a house. My standards of living and health have improved a lot than it would have been if I never benefited from Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done well to help me construct a house and seek medical attention. Without Give Directly couldn't have managed to build and seek treatment since it's very expensive to treat the diseases I'm diagnosed with. However, Everything went on well according to my opinion.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I decided to construct a house. During the process, my money got finished and the house was incomplete so I decided to borrow some money from my son who is also a recipient to complete my house. When my last transfer was sent to me, I had to pay the debt which was UGX 850000. The construction was done but but windows and doors were not installed so I decided to buy one door and a window at UGX 320000. I also bought a mattress at UGX 100000 since I was sleeping on a very old mattress. I saved UGX 300000 for treatment because I'm diagnosed with pressure, Typhoid, Brucellosis and Hepatitis B.
