How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed that I acquired a piece of land that I will farm on this coming season. When I start farming on this land I will be able to sell the produce from it that will help sustain the well being of my household and also enable me purchase more farmland.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD did came to rescue people from different situations like school fees, land, house construction and household items. They came looking for us from our homes unlike other NGOs enrolling for the program. However, Give Directly skipped other eligible recipients who are supposed to benefit like every other community member.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent ugx 1550000 for land purchase and ugx 150000 for feeding.
