How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am 22 years in the 9th grade and a self supporter. My parents are old and can't afford to sponsor me to further my education. I am renting in someone's house and paying 500 Liberian Dollars every month. I dropped out of school last academic school year due financial constraints. I am a daily hired on motorbike to support myself in school and survived through it too. Things have been so though on me in this life. However,I want to buy a motorbike for myself and build my house with my transfer from GiveDirectly to enable me to change my entire life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly have done nothing wrong. GiveDirectly is helping we the poor people with huge money to improve our lives. Many thanks to them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend my most recent transfer to buy two bundles of zinc which cost twenty four thousands Liberian Dollars. I used my second transfer to buy a second handed motorbike to start riding for myself. I also bought food.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I have never believe that anyone could have done such good for me. Since the day I was given birth to, I have never gotten such huge amount of money from anyone or even through work I do. Due to this reason, I became very much happy when I received the first transfer from Givedirectly and I am still happy because I have been planning to build a house but I had no money. GiveDirectly came to my aid at the rightful time because I believe that with this money given to me, my future plans have been achieved.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have never been able to raise such amount of money before. I have been living a very poor life, due to this reason not one of my plans have been achieved. For the purpose this money, my heart has been filled with joy and my family is also very much happy. The biggest difference in my life right now is that I am going to built a very big and decent future house that will accommodate my family that which I have never been able to do over these passed years of my long plans.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been living in a deplorable house for a very long time along with my family. It makes me and my family feels very uncomfortable during the rainy season because of the leakages that are all over the roof of the house. Due to the uncomfortable situation we have found myself in along with my family, I have decided to use my transfer to build myself a decent house for the comfort of my family and I. I'd split the first transfer into two portions. The first portion is used for gasoline to saw the planks for the building and other portion is used for zinc and other building materials. I am waiting for my second transfer to pay people and start my house project. I am so grateful to GiveDirectly for coming to help me achieve my dreams.
