How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't having new goals before receiving this transfer, I'm planning to improve my house with new roofing design, plastering of floor, and installation of new Windows on my house to make it look good.

I am very happy to get free money from GD to improve my house; because this house had been in this town for so many years with know improvement plan, by the help of Give Directly , i was able to condition our house. Looking at things I don't know anything that GD did that is not well.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was happily blessed by receiving Give Directly's cash transfer because God has answered my prayer. My children and I do live in a house where other too live. Every day, other people insult my children and me about property issue and at the same time, my children were sent out of school because of financial obligations. With the above conditions, the entrance of Given Directly into my life is a Heaven Sent that is enabling me to send my children to school and to build a house for my family in the near future. In so doing, I considering GD as problem solver in life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference GD transfer is making in my life is, my dignity is restored because of Give Directly cash grant. People who used to insult me and children do not do it again; as the same time, my children financial obligations at children's school is settled and an initial item is available for my house construction.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent grant sent was used to purchase a boundle of zinc and I also paid my children fees. The boundle of zinc is to be kept as an initial item for my future house construction. As stated earlier, my children have been sent out of school because of financial obligations; however, the intervention of GD has also relaxed that school obligation.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I used to work on the gold mine but some part of mid 2021, I got seriously sick and diagnosed of Tuberculosis. I was placed on the drugs and since my drugs finished due to the lack of transportation, am unable to go for refilling. When I am lucky to have this cash, I will used portion of it to go for my treatment and the other to reconditioned my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, it had been really bad for me. I was seriously sick and my wife took me too many places to ensured I get well, but getting my anti tobarculosis drugs has been difficult due to the lack of money. Today I am wearing a smile because Givedirectly has pay me a visit and I know by the Grace of God I will get some of this money to improve my life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Since I was diagnosed of Tuberculosis mid 2021, provision for myself and family has been really been tough and the little money my wife gets from other family members is only meant fo food. Therefore money business is the biggest hardship I am faced with now.
