What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay school fees for my children in a private school. I also used part of the transfer to buy a cow for milking. I can now sell the milk and get some income that helps me sustain my family. I nowadays do not have to beg or rely on outsiders to help me feed my family. I also used part of the transfer to buy building materials that I have used to repair my house that was in a very dilapidated condition.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to feed my family from the income I generate from the milk I sell. My children can no longer sleep hungry like previously. Thanks to GiveDirectly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My family does not have a regular source of income and this means that whenever any of them falls sick, we have nothing to seek medication and that worries me a lot.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the evenings when I have managed put food on the table for my family from my day's labour, I usually feel happy and satisfied.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
It is going to go a long way in changing my life because I will be able to start a business that can sustain my family for many years to come instead of depending on handouts from other people.
