How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am so healthy because the cash transfer empowered me to build a house and also provide basic needs for my household. Secondly, the cash transfer enabled me to pay school fees and pay off my old loan. I am now happy and stress free.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to give people cash transfers that have empowered and developed the communities. These cash transfers have enabled many people to pay school fees and buy basic necessities for their house holds. However, there is nothing that I know of where GiveDirectly could have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX250,000 to pay my child's school fees and UGX800,000 to pay off a loan and UGX200,000 to complete the roofing of my house. Then the remaining UGX380,000 was spent on purchasing household items and food for the family.
