What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving the cash transfers means so much to me and my family since it will help us ease the burden we have and also will transform our life's positively. Firstly, we plan to use the first KES 20000 of the cash transfers to purchase food, clothing and pay for our 3 children's school fees. We plan to use KES 10000 to pay school fees and the remaining we will spend on food, clothing and other household goods. For the second cash transfer we intend to use KES 10000 on our farm, we also plan to use the remaining KES 35000 to purchase 4 goats at KES 5000 each and food for our family. For the third cash transfer, we intend to pay school fees for our children and also purchase food for our family. We intend to spend about KES 30000 on school fees and the remaining we shall spend on food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My family's wellbeing is the aspect that is pleasant in my life and always brings me joy. Since this year began no one in our family has fallen sick, which is a great thing that brings me joy always.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm facing a lot of challenges currently including a lack of money to sustain my household and pay school fees for my four children. Nonetheless, the challenge that is most pressing is the flooding that recently hit our village. The flood water destroyed our farmland and crops which has affected our food supply and also money since we intended to sell the produce from the farm. We are now feeling the impact of the floods since we don't currently have hope of getting money to pay for our children's schools fees.
