My life is different than it would have been because I am happy to have food in the house and to have acquired livestock.

In my opinion, givedirectly has done well uplifting people from extreme poverty by giving money to acquire livestock, household items, build houses, buy food; and there's nothing it hasn't done well.

I spent my second transfer to buy a cow, bought household items like a suitcase, bought food and balance, I used to start a grocery business in the village.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, now I own solar energy panel which I use for lighting and charging my phone compared to before when I used grass to light the house.
