How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, before GD could come into our town, renovating my house had been my plan, but suddenly my plan got diverted to seeking health care due to my poor health condition. But if I'm opportune to get any cash now it will surely be directed to my house renovation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have been sick for over six years, but with the coming in of Givedirectly it had brought revival to my health, and now I feel so okay in my body, so GD does well in meeting the needs of poor people, so there is nothing they don't do well.

My recent transfer was spent on my health, because I had been very sick and went under surgery, in that same period I did receive my transfer, so all of it went behind my medication.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I plan to improve my house with a new roof, plan to buy generator to electrify my house and I am also planning to buy five (5) bags of cements.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In the past months, I was in this town very sick and I could not afford money to go to the hospital. But after receiving this transfer from give directly, I was able to go to the hospital to get some treatment, but base on my condition , the doctor told me that I will be going for surgery and I have already paid for the cost and just waiting for the time. So, I am so happy to give directly for saving my life.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I am Wilson Mambu from Bowein town, Bomi County Liberia. I was very excited upon receiving cash transfer massage from Givedrectly because, I was seriously sick and didn't have money to take treatment at the time I received cash transfer massage from Givedrectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The cash transfer received from Givedrectly help me a lot because, I was seriously sick and completely out of money for medication. I cash out my transfer money, took treatment and my health condition is gradually improving. In the past years I was involved in cassava farming and burning of coal Just to save some money for treatment but didn't have enough money to undergo treatment. when I got sick life became very difficult for my family because, I was unable to farm nor burning coal. This transfer money help me undergo treatment and also bought a second handled motor bike to make movement easy for me to help my family. I am thankful to Givedrectly for such a great help.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
For the past four years I have been suffering from postrostral problem, I will seek medical attention. I am out of money this year. I will used portion of the money to pay my son school fees. I will also invest in business and lastly I will plaster my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Although I am not too well but as long as I am alive with my family I am happy. As long as there is life I have the hope that one day I will be well. I am also Happy today because of the interaction I am having with GiveDirectly.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
For the past four years I have been suffering from postrostral, the last time I visited the hospital was April 23, since then I have not been able to visit the hospital because of finance. I am not active in working due to my present condition, I find it difficult to also feed my family.
