How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The second cash transfer saved my life. My health is now improving and getting better each day. Previously, I was given a slow acting poison by unknown persons and my health was slowly deteriorating. I had to seek treatment from various traditional and medical practitioners. I would have lost my life because I had no money then to access any medical attention. Nevertheless, I am very grateful that GiveDirectly sent the second cash transfer at the time when I needed it most.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to send unconditional cash transfers to the people with no strings attached. However, I can not tell lies about any wrongs that GiveDirectly has done to me or my community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent part of my second transfer to purchase two cows and part of the transfer to treat myself.
