How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a change in my life because I now sleep in an iron roofed house that I constructed with the transfers. I have also recovered the farm land after paying the loan. Before, I was sleeping in a grass thatched house that could leak and not spacious enough. I had only an acre of land which limited my farming potential.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to sensitize my community members on what and how they do their work. This aided the successful enrollment of many beneficiaries because they made themselves available. There is nothing they are doing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used UGX 1,000,000 of my second transfer for paying a debt which enabled me to get back the land I had given out as security when borrowing money. I bought a door, windows, food, clothes, bedsheets and shoes.
