How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to pay school fees for the whole year for my daughter who is in senior four. I strongly believe that she is going to perform well because she has enough time to revise. In addition, I'm to buy a cow in 5 days time from now that will help me with future education of my children and milk. Before receiving this transfer, my children were often sent home for school fees which affected their performance.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to make it possible for me to handle such a big amount of money and own a phone. On my side, GiveDirectly only did well because its cash has greatly changed many lives for the better.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay for my daughter's school fees. I have not yet spent UGX 972,000 but I intend to spend it to pay my son's school fees and to buy a cow.
