What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchasing food for the family consumption, bought a goat that I would sell the offsprings incase of any emergency and used most of the transfer on paying workers to cultivate my parcel of land.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I was very happy. I was in my house when I received the message and upon reading it and confirming that it was from GiveDirectly, I jumped and dance with joy because it all seemed like a dream.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is my inability to provide for food for my family. At times we are forced to skip some meals in a day.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest most afternoons because at these times I am with friends chatting and laughing.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is joy in itself because my family will have a new home. I plan to move from my current home because it is often flooded when it rains.
