Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Previously, I was overwhelmed by the multitude of debts. Besides that, my business was failing. However, the cash transfer boosted my capacity to buy more stock and pay off the debts. I appreciate GiveDirectly for uplifting my status.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I read the mobile money message at 06:00am. I felt very happy and overwhelmed with joy. I was in avery sorry state and yet there was no money to empower me do what I wanted.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to purchase a table worth UGX170000 and chairs worth UGX138000. I also hired a piece of farm land worth UGX500000. I spent UGX500000 to stock my retail shop. The rest of the cash transfer was spent on paying off debts.
