How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My first goal was to pay my two children school fees from the beginning of the program and this goal has been achieved through the help of GiveDirectly transfer. My new goal is to complete my house project that I started already, my house has been in a bad condition for some years now and I plan to fix it but couldn't because of lack of money but through the help from this program, I started fixing it but wish to complete it.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by being truthful to us from the beginning of the program, everything that was said to us from the town hall meeting have all come to pass, they are also respectful and kind in relating with us. I don't know anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well because all is well with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I haven't withdrawal my last transfer yet because I want to use it to pay my children balance school fees so that they can be clear on the school record for this academic year.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to build a two bedroom house because the house I am living in belongs to someone else, I also want to improve my business that I am doing right now so that it I can raise more money for my family. I know that the money that I am receiving from GiveDirectly will be spent on the house that I decided to build, so I want a business for a backup in raising more money for my children school fees and other family expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I love GiveDirectly because they can't lie, whatever they say is what they can do, they are also kind in speaking to me anytime I am being interviewed or has questions to ask. I also love their unconditional way of giving people money, I have not seen any organization like GiveDirectly before. I haven't seen anything bad about GiveDirectly yet.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my second transfer to buy zinc to start building my own house, I also bought food for my family, I bought my children school uniforms as well and the remaining amount was used to increase my business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If we are successful to receive the money, we use it for our children school fees. Like this year, our daughter did not take the national exam because we never had money to pay. Although we are making cassava farm and burning coal to sale, but most time when buyers come here, they take our goods for " take and pay later". But when they carrying the goods they don't come bac with the money soon. Even if they bring it, they will always complaint that the goods was not bought with enough money.. And if ourselves want to take it to the Market the transportation fair can be too high. Sometimes 500.00 LD just for one person excluding the good. Another thing I will want to do if the money is in enough is to make business in tow here because the coal and cassava work is very difficult and can stressed me up
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, it was in January we and our family were very happy because the government sent us 2bags of rice per family size. That made us very happy. And that was the only thing I remember made us happy as a family during the period mentioned by you.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenges here are how to raise money to send our children to school. Another one is the school we got around here that one of our children here can ho to is dar from the town. As a result, most time she don't go to school in a week.
