There is nothing that GiveDirectly is doing wrong. I can only say the cash transfers are really helping to eradicate poverty.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when i received my money i was overwhelmed with joy because i never expected it to be true. Here in this village such kind of generosity is first of it's kind and i don't think it will happen again after GiveDirectly. Therefore i am living a happy person now because i got all things i wanted in life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My daily life is different now because i have every thing i wanted such as food, blanket and soon i will have a good house
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my transfer on 22 iron sheets at MK6000 each, 5000 bricks for building a new house at MK100000, 1 bag of maize at MK7000, 1 blanket at MK19000 and saved some amount

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I'm super excited for getting enrolled in the programme and i truly can't wait to receive the first transfer,I'm hoping to use the first transfer to build a house because i don't own one and apparently i live in this kitchen.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during noon hours because thats when i eat my first meal of the day with my whole family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is hunger,i struggle to feed my family because i don't make enough money ,i don't have an occupation yet all i do are piece jobs and i plan to invest my second transfer in a permanent business.
