How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I had new goals that I did not have before receiving the transfer. I was planning to build a new house for my family because the house old house was damaged, small and in very bad condition, I bought some building materials like iron sheets but unfortunately my three years old daughter got sick and died. All the money went to hospital bills and later for the futural arrangements.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD does well giving money directly to our phones. This way we have no problems and we receive the exact amount of money that was promised to us. Sending the money directly to our phones also helps avoid theft .
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have used my most recent transfer for medical bills and for the funeral arrangements for my three year old daughter who was sick for a while.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money really means so much to me I'm really grateful because i know the money can change my life forever if used properly.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when ever i make money,I'm always happy with money because it gives me hope of buying our next meal.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i always face is hunger,i get K500 per day from my piece jobs which is less than $1 ,this money is far from enough to feed 4 people,as a result we settled on one meal a day and we eat two meals when i get more than k500 which is not a constant thing. A side from hunger we lack a good shelter this house i live in is in poor condition and it does need a renovation service if that makes sense at all,me and my children wear shabby clothes we sleep on the floor with no beddings,i dream of having a bed someday and GiveDirectly is making that dream to come true right now.
