Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have been able to fully pay for children’s school fees. I am now a stress-free parent after ensuring I have completed school fee payment for them. Unlike before where they were being sent back every time, I feel that I have done the best by ensuring the same do not occur.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In six months’ time, I expect to have already saved enough money and would have bought a tailoring machine for my daughter who just completed technical training in tailoring. How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have been able to build a house for my family. The one we were previously living in was grass thatched and replacing the old roof every year is always costly. At times, our clothes and beddings would get soaked in rainwater during rainy seasons when I did not have money to renovate the roof. I am now glad since my family is now living comfortably in our newly built house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goal for my life for the next four months is to buy a water tank. I will use the savings I will be given in our group to achieve this. In addition to this, I am planning to buy a heifer in order to increase the number of dairy cows which I own.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to buy four goats for rearing. It has always been my dream to invest in dairy farming and since buying a dairy cow is expensive, I decided to be buying goats since they are cheaper and they reproduce within a shorter period. When they reproduce and increase in number, I will sell them and use the money to buy a dairy cow and add it into my herd of livestock.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my life will have changed from how it is now because I will have bought a water tank for my family. My wife will no longer be walking for a long distance looking for water for domestic use. In addition to this, I believe that I will have bought a heifer. I will be saving the money I will be getting through the sale of milk so that I can use it to achieve this. Increasing the number of dairy cows has always been my dream as it will lead to an increase in my income through the sale of the surplus.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have savings in merry go round group as I use a part of the transfers in the group. This was not the case four months ago as my small income form the job I do as a house caretaker is barely enough for food. I am also able to pay school fees for my children and even provide food using a part of the money I receive on a monthly basis. without Giedirectly, I would not be saving any money and at the same time, I would still be struggling too hard to pay school fees. As for food, I am sure we could still be skipping some of the daily meals because I would still be relying only on my casual job.
