What did you spend your first transfer on?
Since I did not have oxen for ploughing, I decided to spend my cash to purchase two bulls to ease my farming practice since I depend on agriculture. The remaining cash I spent it on household items and feeding.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I got this money, I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness to the extent that I danced and ululated for the awesome news from GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My household is full of praise for GiveDirectly because the cash has enabled us procure our own oxen that has supplemented on household agricultural practices. In the past we used to hire oxen to plough for us which was very expensive. There were some delays in a way that these people could first concentrate on their fields then plough for me later and this affected my yields because they missed on first rains.

What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when my children are at school. This relieves me of the stress of seeing them being sent home for defaulting.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of money to properly facilitate our children's school dues. This sometimes makes me sell even the food stored for home consumption.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will buy Oxen and an ox-plough to help us ease the work in the gardens. I have just been hiring one from neighbours at a cost but when we get ours, we shall have cut costs of garden work. We shall also be hiring it out so that we boost our income. I also have school going children that have defaulted school fees. So, I will use part of the money to pay for their school fees.
