My life is different in that I no longer walk for long distance to fetch water and I can now have all the time to work in my farm. I also sell water to my neighbors to get an income to meet my family basic needs. I also have enough food for my family as I used my transfer to buy two bags of maize which will last us for some time and my spouse can now save the money that he could have used to buy food and used to meet other family basic needs.

Give Directly is fair in their enrollment process and in my opinion I do not see anything that Give Directly does not do well.

I used my transfer to buy water pipes. I have been walking for a long distance to fetch water for household and livestock use. I used my transfer to buy water pipes and I am now happy since I no longer walk for a long distance as I have tap water at my homestead. I also used part of my transfer to buy a dairy cow. I have been buying milk for many years and this was very expensive as I was depending on my spouse who works as a security guard. I also bought two bags of maize for my family since I have been buying maize flour and at times we could have little food to eat when my husband did not have money.

At first, I used to be borrowing seats from my neighbor whenever I had visitors and when my friends or neighbors visited me, I would sit with them outside since I did not have any seat for them to sit on. This is now a history to me since I have been able to purchase enough seats using my first transfers. I even feel more confidenr inviing people to my home.

I have been having a living room without seats and a table and at first, I saw no need of having my living room as it was always empty. I have always had a dream of buying them but I did not know how I would accomplish this since I neither had money nor a job to provide for this. When I received my transfers, I was overwhelmed with joy because I knew my dream of owning seats and a table would be actualized.

Since I have been using a lot of money to buy milk on a daily basis, I spent part of my first transfer in buying a cow. Having my own cow will enable me save money that I would have otherwise used in buying milk, hence spending on something else. By the time I received the first transfers, I had just finished building my house. I had no seats nor tables in my living room and for this reason, I spent part of the money to purchase them. Over some time now, I have been buying maize flour in small quantities and this is costly, sometimes I do not have money. We are at times forced to sleep without putting anything in our stomachs. When I received the money, I decided to buy three sacks of maize which is much cheaper and can sustain us for a longer period.
