How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: Yes i do have a new goal which is to build a new comfortable and decent house of my own. I have been planning to build a house of my own for a very long period of time but since i could not afford for years i than decided to start the process bit by bit. So i did put the structure down before givedirectly could come to my community. But with the help of givedirectly cash transfer i have purchased zincs and nailed for the complete construction of house. Which am very grateful to givedirectly for this cash transfer for.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Givedirectly is doing good for me and my family, because some of the things we had serious struggles with are being settle. Like roofing my house with zinc instead of thatch, i was taking the step to build a house of my own but the roofing was definitely going to be done with thatch because i could not afford zincs. But because of givedirectly cash transfer i now have zincs to roof my house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: I spend the most of my recent transfer on purchasing zincs for the roofing of the house which is my main focus sinc we aren't using bricks but instead mut and sticks. I am saving the rest of my cash to pay my children school fees.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the first transfer, I was very excited to the extent that I cried tears of joy. Since that day I have been feeling relieved. For the passed years I have been living in a house with a deployable roof and been wishing that one day my living condition will change for the better. Blessedly GiveDirectly came with this great financial favour and I am excited the my dream of building a new house for my family will come to pass very soon.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I have been faced with the challenge of a leaking roof. For the passed years I have, I have been trying to raise money to buy zinc for the roof. But to no avail. For this reason I decided this year to do some farming work like planting a varieties of crops such as plantain, eddoes, peppers and other crops that by next year I will be able sell and raise money for the roofing project. And excitingly GiveDirectly came right on time with this huge amount of money it is indeed a great break through for me. I am so grateful for this great help from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my first transfer, with the desired about changing the roof of my house from the old thatched roof to a zinc roof, I am planning to used a portion of the money to buy the first two bundles of zinc as the start up material for the project. Moreover the remaining money will be spend on my children's school fees. Many thanks to GiveDirectly for this great financial assistance. I will remain forever grateful.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The house am living in right now is very bad. All the thatch are old now and I'm not strong enough to get new thatch to fix my house. Because of that, I want to build a new house that my family can live in. I also want to send my children to go to school. There is a parable that says " the hill you can't climb make sure let you children climbs that hill. In short, since I didn't go to school I want my children to go school to be able to help me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
This hard time am experiencing can't even make me to remember happiness. But once my family and I are in good health and we have life I am happy and grateful.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I had an accident before and because of that I can't do any hard work anymore. To even make is difficult for me. Our greatest challenge is finding food for my family.
