Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Right now my main focus is to ensure that I save enough money within the next three months so that by the time my kids will be reporting back to school, I should be able to pay their fees for the new school term promptly without delays.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have seen a significant change in my life because for one I was able to purchase a cow at a cost of around nine thousand with the primary aim of purchasing the cow being that I will be able to get enough milk supply from the animal in the future. What that means is that I will not have to keep on buying milk from the vendors.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe that through the business my life will have a significant change because I will sort of become financially independent so I will not have to be relying on financial help and handouts from my husband. This will be the best thing to ever happen in my life.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been in the last four months in that I have new household items such as a mattress, sofa set, and a table. This is because the seats I had were old and the cushions were worn out. I had started savings in our merry-go-round so as to raise money to buy the items but had not been successful. With GD transfers, I had the boost I needed to get the items. I am glad I increased the savings with GD transfers and now I have items in the house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional in the next four months is to buy building materials which I will use in building a new house. The one I have now is old and the roof has turned brown. It is not a decent one and I would want to have a better house because I used second-hand iron sheets to build the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I no longer have to buy milk from neighbors. Since I did not have any cow in my life, I had to buy milk which was very costly. I had desired to have a cow but due to low income from casual work, I was not able to buy a cow. With GD transfers, I was able to save and buy a cow. Right now, it has reproduced and I have milk which I use for family consumption and sell the rest at a cost. I feel life is progressing well ever since GD came to my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months is to boost the cloth business which my main source of income. I would want to boost it so that I can get a good profit which is my income. The income will help me meet my family needs in time without struggles. It will help again stop going for casual work to meet my needs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Previously, I used to do tedious casual work to earn my family some income but now I have a business that can generate my family more income hence less casual work. I saved the transfer and started a mitumba business. I have bought a cow that I am rearing for financial security. We now have fewer conflicts as I do not have to solely depend on my husband for provision.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not feel like mitumba business does not earn me enough income for my family's upkeep. I want to save in a merry-go-round to get money to start up a new business that can sustain my family better.

I have no new goals currently since I have not been able to achieve the previous goals I set. I am very happy since I have managed to achieve three-quarters of my previous goals. I have been able to expand my business and improve on my farming.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I boosted my second-hand clothe business using the money I have been receiving from Give Directly. I am now happy I have a large stock and this has attracted more customers. I have been selling varieties of clothes from skirts, blouses and dresses that I didn't have before. My daily sales has increased and I, therefore, generate a lot of profit from my business. This is the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfers from Give Directly. I am able to pay school fees with ease and my children are no longer sent home due to arrears. Initially, they were on and off the school which affected their academic performance. I have noticed a lot of positive improvement in their academic performance because they can now concentrate on their education. I am also using part of my profit in farming by buying hybrid seeds and fertilizer which have increased my produce from my farm. I can now provide food for my family and store the surplus which will keep us upto to the next harvest.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have a lot of hope that in the next six month I expect to have started second-hand shoe business to supplement with my second hand- clothe business. The reason being there is a demand for shoes and also Ig= gather information about how my customers talk when they come to buy clothes. In our area there is no one selling affordable clothes and therefore this motivates me a lot because I know I will have more customers.
