When one gets married, he/she is hopeful that a new member of the family will soon arrive. That is exactly the case with me. I will be excited to receive my newborn in the next 1 month. However, the current house we live in is small and might not accommodate more people especially when we hire a nanny. Therefore, I hope to construct an additional house beside the 1 roomed house we have. I am glad to have already purchased some of the materials to initiate this project and once I get all the materials, then execution will be easier. I will be excited that my family of 7 will restore its decency and privacy as well.

We should appreciate that life is different for people and family needs are diverse. I appreciate Givedirectly for giving us the autonomy to decide on what to spend the transfers on. We then jointly embarked on where we would cash out our transfer.

The most significant difference is that the organization transformed my life. This is because I was able to build a decent house for my family, which would have taken a long time to save up for. Second, unlike before, we now have clean water for daily consumption, as opposed to having to go to the stream or buy water.
