How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
"I hope I can complete my house project in the upcoming year".
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
"GiveDirectly coming into the town was a blessing to all of us because things were very difficult for everyone at the time. One thing I like about GiveDirectly is that we own our money and we spend it the way we want and on things that benefit us. GiveDirectly can continue giving cash to the next villages so that they too can do things that will improve their lives".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"When I withdraw my most recent transfer, I plan to buy materials to build a house and a shop".

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"The moment I received my transfer, I was actually happy especially the time in which it was sent. Looking at those things I have decided to do with the money, it allows me to engage many of the plans like purchasing of cement, nails etc. Currently, my woman, our children and I are all stocked up in room, all because of the place in which we live. It is a family house and for that reason, we can't take up all of the rooms because we're not the only family, and our children are aging for everyone of us to be living in one tight room. It was really shameful, but as God could have it, everything going to come to a successful conclusion after we (my woman and I) shall have completed the construction of our house".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
"Since I received this money from your organization, GiveDirectly, it has reduced my stress of thinking on how to engage in activities that can provide me the support to build a house and cater to my family needs especially providing their daily needs. To frank, it was so pathetic and a complete shame on my part to lack the financial ability as a man to provide those essential needs like shelter, feeding and clothing for my family. Many times, we managed to cover up our inabilities to our family mainly for the provision of their daily meals. Right now, I can now boast of the ability to provide the daily needs of my household since receiving this transfer".
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
"I used some of the recent transfer I received to purchase cement in order to build my house, used some to buy food and save the balance. This is something (building of house) my woman and I have decided to do over months. I am now ecstatic that the issue about owing house as a full grown man like me with huge responsibilities can now come to an end, because it hasn't been easy to admit. Currently, I am left with $5,325LRD in order to add to my next transfer so that I can start the construction works of my immediately before the end of this year".

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a high school graduation and I have been sitting for more than 5 years now. My wife is also studying mid-wifery at the community college in Zwedru. If I am successful to receive GiveDirectly transfer , I will sponsor my wife and myself to advance our education. I will also invest in to business as a means of sustainability. I only survive on hard labour work. What I earned from there is not sufficient to cover my family's problem.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the month of July 2022, my happy time was when my younger sister went through surgery successfully as a result of a child birth. The family never had money for any unplanned situation but God was with is and she went through the operation safely. We would've have no means if her case has been critical and complicated wherein lot of money will require.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have not had any employment upon my graduation from the secondary school. I have no source of income different from farming job. I farm every year to support my children in school and also feed them. Financ is my major hardship I am facing. If I have had the first nancial power, by now I have completed my college education. The farm proceeds I sell can't support my kids and sponsor me in school. Two of my kids are not in school this school year due to the lack of finance. I will be able to put them in school upon the receipt of my first transfer.
