I used most the money on constructing my house and the balance on medical and food
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done well in alleviating poverty from our community and there is nothing givedirectly has done bad.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am healthier now. I would have died long time if it wasn't because of the give direct transfer that helped me to treat myself from stroke.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on treatment since I was paralysed and could not talk at all. I also bought a cow, matress sheets household items and a flask to keep my tea and porridge hot for the time I need to take.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my money, I felt very happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am now feeling better compared to before when I was bed ridden and paralyzed.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I faced and still facing is my health complications. I do not have money to continuously but the required medicines for myself
What is the happiest part of your day?
The evening I the best part of my day when my grandchildren are around me and playing all over the compound signing songs learnt from school.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving the givedirectly money means, I will be in position to cover my medical bills and even visit the best hospitals in Uganda
