How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan is to build another house that I can boast of tomorrow and say, I built this house when I received free money from Givedirect assistance in our town.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am thankful to God for his grace upon my survival for the wonderful things he has been doing. Givedirect did well for me

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm eligible to receive the transfer from GiveDirectly, I will send my grandchildren back to school. Since their mother died last year they were unable to go to school this year because of finance. I am the only person they are hoping on now to achieve their educational goal. I believe when they are educated they can help themselves and my wife because we are old now. They are in first and second grades respectively. My spouse health is more important because she will be a help to me when she is in good health. Her foot have been embarrassing her for five years now. She is my married wife and have been a great help to me during farming seasons. Now because of her foot, I am left alone to work on the farm and at the same time finding food for the household which is very worrisome to me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
During the Muslims fast month in June of this year, I was very happy and even danced until you can know that I was over joy, because my wife and I live to see that day. People in the community have the belief that my wife was not going to survive till now. Another time I was happy is When my nephew send me a brand new radio yesterday, it brought joy and happiness in my life and I am still happy because I can listen to happenings in Liberia and the world. Today brought the greatest joy I have been waiting for, we have been hearing about GiveDirectly in neighboring communities and have been praying for GiveDirectly to come here, so your arrival here today brought the joy I have never experienced in my whole life. I am happy and even praying for your donors to live long and be a blessing to Liberian not not only my households. The money means a whole lot to me and I must admit that it is appropriate.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challengeI am facing now is my wife health. Since five years she has been sick and no finance to take her to good hospital. Her foot business is really troubling me because she is not able to do anything now so I have to do everything, could you imagine cooking which is woman's responsibility in our setting is a part of my responsibility now as a man. Since she got sick, people in the community have kept far from us, they don't enter our house now and when they feel good to greet us, they stand a different because her foot sometimes smell.
