What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Recieving this unconditional cash means a lot to me because out of it i will be able to buy a piece of land in a safe place for settlement with my family because where am staying right now is a disaster prone area and the piece of land will cost USD945 and the balance which is USD927 will be used to put up a shelter for my family in the safe place that I plan to buy.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last 6 months what brought me joy was when i harvested my cabbage, sold and earned USD200, i was able to buy poles at USD100 to construct a house as an extension of my house that am staying in right now because it is too small for my family. I also managed to buy food for my family and we where able to have a balance meal as a family at USD100 and this brought alot of joy seeing my family eating what they had desired to eat in along time and that was goat's meat, rice and sodas.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Poverty which has brought about poor yields of crops as a result of flash floods which sweeps over the garden and whatever crop is the garden is always destroyed and at the end the harvest is very disappointing. Due to the effects of flash floods it has caused shortage of food in my family hence hunger torturing my family. This is due to lack of other income generating activities a side from farming.
