The roof of my structure is so weak, I fear that it might the blown away by the wind. It poses danger to me and my four little children. I will use my transfers to purchase strong poles and renovate the roof of the house. This will cost me approximately 20000 KES. The rest of the transfers will be used to support us with food and my children's education. I have two school-aged children who have not yet joined school due to lack of school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am grateful for the kind of neighbors I have. Last week, my family was on the verge of going hungry thanks to a neighbor who came to our rescue. He gave me 500 KES and I was able to salvage the situation. The fact that I am surrounded by generous neighbors is what brings me happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been burning charcoal my entire life until 2015 when I developed chest problems. I visited a doctor and I was barred from doing manual jobs. This has forced me to depend entirely on my husband who is a motorcycle rider. He is polygamous and he mostly spends time with the other wife providing us with little or no support at all. This has made me live a miserable life whereby I can not afford even the basic household needs.
