How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to start a new business which I invested my recent transfer into. I bought some materials like Vita Cube, Salt, Oil, Rice etc. to sell at least to empower myself so that when GiveDirectly is gone I will not go back to the same position I used to be when they met me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well by giving me money to help my self. In my mind GiveDirectly is not doing anything bad.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I starting a new business with my recent transfer. I bought Vita Cube, Salt, Oil, and Rice to sells on retail.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt happy upon receiving GD transfer as I consider it as a help that is on the way. My intension for the first transfer is to pay the last school fees for my children and to open a business. I'm currently not doing anything or don't have a source of income; as the result, my family and I are living just by the grace of God Almighty. As I intend to establish a business, it will be able to sustain us in life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The restoration of my dignity, the opening of business, and my children last fees payment are the major changes Give Directly cash grant has made in my life. And as the balance transfers are given the impacts will be greater.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My intention for the first transfer is to pay my children last installment fees at their school and to open a business as our sustainable source of income. I will then invest the rest of my transfers into house project while my business is running.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have been struggling to raise funds to improve me and my family living conditions. Therefore, when I received cash transfer from Give Directly I will buy zinc and change the roof of my house. Additionally, I will also use portion of the transfer to do business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My daughter felt very sick last year October to the point of death. When we visited the Staint Francis Medical Hospital and she was treated. Affter a week she got well. I was very happy for my daughter health.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I told you earlier, we are farmers and we are living by the produce from our farming we do. We are not really getting produce from farming like before which is making it very difficult to raise funds for my children school fees and net up with other domestic needs.
