How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Right now i now have a business that is now able to feed my family. I now sell dried fish all thanks to my transfer. I will also have a house which on my own would have been difficult to acomplish.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is a very honest organisation. All the process are clear and well explained and because of this i was able to benefit from the programme. There should not change in how their processes are carried.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have a house which is just a sitting room and 1 bedroom. I have 3 children and with my husband i feel the house is quite small. With my transfer i have started the project of building a 2 bedroom house for my family. I have manged to buy iron sheets, bricks, timber and also managed to pay the builders for labour.
I have also manged to spare some money aside to start a business of selling dried fish since my village is close to the lake. This business is now able to feed my family everyday.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Honestly it was an exciting moment for me when I got this transfer from GiveDirectly. I felt honoured when I received this cash grant. I say thank you to GiveDirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference this transfer has made to me is that Iam now able to have 3 meals a day with my family. This is something I used to struggle to do. Additionally, I will own a good house roofed with iron sheets.

I have just received this transfer and Iam planning to buy iron sheets, bricks and other construction materials. I have already bought beddings and 5 bags of maize for consumption.
