What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy 20 bags of cement at 640,000ugx, 2 trips of bricks at 400, 000ugx, 2 trips of sand at 180,0000ugx, 1 pair of bedsheets at 10,000ugx, a cloth and bed cover at 16,000ugx. I have put a side 100,000ugx which i intend to use for harvesting millet. The balance of the money i spent on food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly does well to give people unconditional cash and to follow them up to confirm that money reached the right recipients. On my side, there is nothing Give Directly does not do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if i never received the money. Am able to buy food and other basic needs like clothes for my family. I have hope of sleeping in an iron roofed house because the construction is in progress.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying Bricks at 600,000Ugx, a Cow at 550,000Ugx, paid part of my childrens' school fees for my children at 100,000Ugx, Plaster sand at 90,000Ugx and remaining transfer I used for buying a tree for timber and paying for labour for cutting timber and I bought clothings for myself.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I recieved my first transfer I was very happy because the transfer came at the right time when I needed it most.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Am expecting to sleep in an iron roofed house in the near future because I have bought my building materials with this trsnsfer, just waiting for the last transfer to start construction, sleeping in an iron roofed house is going to be the biggest difference in my life since currently am sleeping in a grass thatched house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i am faced with is lack of money. I am not able to construct a better house because i don't have money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when i am seated with people at the centre - more so when i am drinking alcohol.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means i will be able to build an iron roofed house, imrove on my agricultural productivity.
