What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Money is a challenge at home
My spouse is riding bike for someone on a daily hire contract because the owner also runs traffic.
So, on days when he's unwell or tired, is when he calls him to run for those days.
The arrangement between them is that he runs trafffic and reports LRD$2,000 and whatever extra he gets goes to himself as his compensation.
On days when the traffic is good, he brings home $2,000 and when the traffic is not good on most days, he brings as little as LRD $500 because he's responsible for servicing the motorbike and buying gas.
When I'm home, I farm with my mother-in-law on her farm but there are more difficult times wherein we don't harvest enough because the ground hugs can eat the rice and other crops.
The work is challenging for both she, myself and my sister enough because we are all women.
When we return home, we can be extremely exhausted from the day's activities.
The fatigue sometimes lead to body aches that lasts for days that results into us taking a few days off to rest and resume work because we have to continue in order to provide for our various homes."
