How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
AT this moment, I don't have any new goals, I'm still working on building my house and supporting my kids in school. When I received my first and second transferred, it was when I planned to build a better and comfortable shelter for my family, Because for too long, we have lived in thatch house.The roof of our house is so old and the thatches are all dried up. During rainy seasons my family stuffers from Cold as the result of leakages that make our entire house wet and cold and this make my kids to constantly gets sick.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion I don't know what GiveDirectly is doing wrong but I think they should continue to help poor people through their direct cash transfer approach.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
For too long, I have wish to build a comfortable house that is big enough to accommodate all my family members. When my name got enroll on GiveDirectly financial assistance program I was so happy. This help that GiveDirectly gave me has enabled me to start constructing a three bedrooms house. With this huge construction work on hand,I used my most recent transfer to purchased additional three bundles of roofing sheets,one cartoon of nails. Also,my kids are in school and I was due to paid their balance tuitions,so portion of my last transferred was used in this direction.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My house broke down since five years ago. I am presently living in my brother's house.My new goal is to build my house. Therefore, upon receiving my transfer, I decided to buy zinc and planks to begin the process.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I haven't lived in a zinc house before. It is through Givedirectly that I will construct a zinc house to live in. Givedirectly has done very well by changing my living conditions.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to build a new house. I've been living in my brother's house for about six years since my house got destroyed. My husband is diseased and I don't have anyone anywhere helping me so I intend to use this transfer to my advantage.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Everything GiveDirectly does is good. Helping the needy and widows like me means so much and I couldn't be more grateful. There's nothing I know they don't do well.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a cold evening when my youger brother went to the coverage area in my village to check my phone if we have receive our transfer from Givedirectly. As usual, he goes there mostly in the evening. But this other evening was a different evening. I was cooking something to eat when he returend smiling. Immediatly I received the good new from him about Givedirectly transfer, I left the cooking and begin to dance. I was so happy that whole day. I told God thank you for the opportunity and bless Givedirectly. I habe never seen this all my life. It is a moment I'll never forget.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am a widow of age 67. I lost my husband few years ago and there is no one to help me. I live with my little brother in the village. He is the only one who helps me with farm work. I habe never had a modern home. It had been my desife to build a house, but because of the lack of money I was usable. However, my story had changed with the money I am receiving from Givedirectly. My dream have been achieved. I am so happy to have a house in my old age.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"Am a widow and don't have hands to move around like before especially losing two husbands. Currently am in my brother house struggling for myself to live. Based on this, Whenever I get the money will build my own house for my grandchildren"

"It is not easy for me now to really be happy because of my situations. However when am feeling lonely my sister will always counsel me with a song and words of encouragement. "

"Is not easy these days. My major challenge here is money. To get money is very hard and my children not going to school because of no money. "
