How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No. I don't have any new goal which I didn't have before receiving this transfer.
My goal (before receiving this transfer) was to build my house. I am still trying to meet this goal. Work has already started on construction of my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does well in the manner in which the address their recipients. Even though we are not rich or have nothing to give them, they address us with respect.
I do not see anything that GiveDirectly does not do well in.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent about L$23,000 to start the construction of my house. I also spent L$9,500 to purchase provisions for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am qualified to receive this cash transfer, I will buy a motorcycle to use it for commercial purpose since I do not have any means of earning an income. I will also use the rest of the cash transfer to send my little daughter to school and start a business for my spouse.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Three months ago, an uncle of mine provided me with a motorcycle to use it for commercial purposes to help me support my family. Since I did not have any means of earning an income to support my family, I was so excited to make great use of such opportunity.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I had to drop out of school when my mother died in 2014 because there was no one in my family to help me continue with my schooling. I do not have any means of earning an income to pay my tuition and this situation has caused a serious setback in my educational journey. I really want to go back to continue my studies but I do not have the finances to do so.
