How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am now a happy person, before I paid bride price for my spouse, there was pressure from my in laws. Receiving this cash transfer, has enabled me to pay part of it and we are now concentrating on building our house and live happily.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through their transparent approach, there is no or less corruption in it. I have not yet interfaced with what GiveDirectly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 332,000 for buying a heifer that I have given to my in laws as bride price. The balance of UGX 1,300,000, I intend to spend it on starting construction work on my permanent house.
