How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have built a house and am sleeping well, and looking health.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It has given us things an indicator that its doing well.

Am building a house , i bought 3000 bricks at 300,000, 4 bags of cement 140,000, mattress 120,000, bed at 150,000.

I was renting but now live in my own house although it is not completed.

I was so happy because I never expected it.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought bricks worth 300,000Ugsh, Dug a pit latrine at 175,000Ugsh, I bought clothes for my self, Spouse and children worth 300,000Ugsh, food at 105,000Ugsh and a bicycle for transport at 320,000Ugsh. I got an accident and I have so far spent 200,000Ugsh. I have the balance of 300,000Ugsh which am still using on transport.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am more than happy for this God given opportunity. This means I'll be able to remarry because since my wife left, I've been lonely and unhappy.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When my children who now live with their mother pay me a visit. Sometimes having a drink with my friends.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
When my wife Edisa left me and married another man. And poverty being the key reason she left me.
