How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes. I have been struggling in terms of food access. The moment I heard of GD, I thought of ending poverty. So I bought 4 bags of maize just to add on the food I bought last time. I also bought 4 bags of fertilizer because I want to produce more maize this year.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirecty is doing very well by providing cash transfers in large amounts. I have never struggled with hunger this year and I am confident that I will produce more maize this year.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my transfer to buy 4 bags of maize for food processing. I also bought 4 bags of fertilizer. I have 3 maize plots and I want to produce more maize this year so that I can end hunger. I also bought maize seedlings and hired labor at my farm. I am so grateful because this will really help me.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will mean a lot to my family, there is a lot of development that I'm going to do with the money. For instance, I'm going to renovate my house and buy better beddings. I'm also going to make sure that I buy enough food for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months there are alot of things that made us happy as a family most we can not remember. Just to mention a few, the last growing season we had good harvest, our children did well in school and we were also happy when we head that Givedirectly will be coming in our village soon.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenges on this household are lack of food for my family, a proper house and beddings.
