How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, I have a house for my children. I used a part of the transfer to buy building materials to help me build it. This is like a dream come true. Previously, Ithey used to share a room with me and being that they are growing up so fast, I had to move quickly and get a separate house for them. the money I received saved me a great deal. Providing food for the family was another huge challenge so, on receiving this transfer, I used some of the money to buy foodstuffs that could last us for several months ahead. We still have the foodstuffs and my family is well fed now. If I had not received the transfers, My I would still be sharing a room with my kids and would still be going to bed hungry on quite often.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does so well in giving aid becasue the moeny coems dirextly tome without havinfg to beg. Some organisations that uses local lleadres to deliver aid fails becasue the money is misapptoptirtes or the leaders ask fo rfavors if they give you hte money.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the money I receved on the second transfer on buuidling ahouse for my childe. For a long time, i had been botheres about having to share a small room with tehm. Unlike other housholds in my village, I did not have a separate house for the kids. I therefore used the transfer on making sure that stop being a laughing stalk because my children were fast growing up. I am now sure that they are comfortable because they have some privacy. I also bought a cow. I needed not only to own livestock but also to be a milk producer. The cow will provide milk fofr my household use and also for sale to earn me an income.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to hire the services of a qualified surveyor to help me settle the dispute relating to the purchase of land that I am living in. With the remaining balance, I plan to build a separate kitchen since I am currently cooking in my main house and the smoke suffocates us a lot more so at night.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I return home from work.Meeting my children playing in the compound and seeing my wife preparing our evening meal really makes me feel contented.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced is not having a stable source of income. The casual jobs that I do engage in, do not generate sufficient income to cater for all of my family's needs more so paying for my children's school fees, feeding them and even taking care of medical expenses when they become sick.
