Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am happy because I was chosen to benefit from the program. I am also happy that I have acquired an ox . I also secured a piece of farm land for agriculture. Previously, I did not have access to all these opportuities. The cash transfers have empowered me alot. I feel much alive and healthier because I can afford good food compared to the past.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received the mobile money message early in the morning. When I checked my account, I was amazed by what I read. This was a miracle because I had never held such an amount of money all my life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased an ox worth UGX 1200000 and I lent out UGX 400000 to a community member. I spent UGX 100000 on food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to to retrive the piece of land that was leased by my late father. If this plan succeeds, I will be able to build a home and cultivate a little more than the way I have been doing. This will increase food productivity in my home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am at the centre drinking with fellow members of my village. We make fun together.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of land for cultivation. At the time when my father was still alive, he sold a bigger portion of the land that we had leaving us with just a small portion to share. To this end, I have not been able to farm as expected because of limitations of space.
