What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying a bull and made bricks which i intend to use for constructing the iron roofed house for my self. I also paid mortgage of 300,000ugx for an acre of land.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give unconditional cash which each one of us used to settle their pressing issues.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if i never received money in that i was able to complete the payment of a plot of land and i have hope of constructing the iron roofed house for my self.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy a bed and mattress at Ugx 150,000, plates at Ugx 22,000, two hosts at Ugx 100,000, clothes for me and family at Ugx 200,000, secured land at Ugx 800,000 and the balance food and welfare.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i recieved my money, I felt so happy, I woke up my wife to ululate during night after seeing the message in the phone.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that i can now afford to have food in the house because feeding was a challenge i had most, and we also dress better than before.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of school fees. Sometimes I had to leave school, get a loan of like 10,000, buy sugar cane and sell in order to get some money to cater for school fees. I even ended up dropping out of school because I could not help.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my family has had lunch, food for supper is available and everyone is healthy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means development in my home. With this money, I hope to buy cattle that can later on help in educating my daughter. I also hope to buy household items.
