How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal now is to demolish the house I am currently living in with my family and build a new one. I have been living in a thatch house that always leaks whenever it rains and that has caused me to spend the little money I get from the sale of my farm produce on medicals. As the result, I have not been able to save enough money to buy zinc. Words are inadequate to express how grateful I am to GiveDirectly for this opportunity.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly is doing well by helping us to be independent and not dependent on others. GiveDirectly has changed our lives positively from one level to another. In Liberia, we say FROM MAT TO MATTRESS. Since I was born, GiveDirectly is the first organization that has made me I am now going to be sleeping under zinc house and not thatch house and on mattress not on grass and bamboo bed. Truthfully speaking GiveDirectly has done nothing bad since it started work here.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As started early, my aim now is to have a house with zinc roof. My most recent transfer was used to buy additional one bundle of zinc, a cartoon of nails, and twelve gallons of gasoline which will be used to saw planks for both the roofing and furniture works on my house. The first transfer was used to buy two bundles of zinc and a mattress.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If i am oppertune to get this money, I will change my house roof from thatch to zinc. I would also like to pay my children school fees.

Nothing made me happy for the past months. At first my older son got sick and in September my older sister died. Since than i have been so confused and sad.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is money. My older son was sick and i spent all of my savings on his hospital bills. I am grateful that he's okay now.
