What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am grateful that I will be receiving money from Givedirectly. This has brought joy to my life. With the money, I will be able to build a bigger house and I will buy some buy of cement so that my house can have a concrete floor. I will also buy kitchen utensils, furniture and some bags of fertilizer in readiness of the next growing season.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy when I have sold pigeon peas. Thus the only way I find money to feed my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My family is polygamous. My husband doesn't consider me anymore, whenever he finds money he supports the other wife while I starve. This makes it very difficult for me to support my family in our daily needs because I don't have a reliable source of income.
