How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am still working on building my house; there's no new plan I have right now.

Givedirectly is doing well for us; they have changed my life. I paid my children school fees with ease and I am about to build a new house. They have made us so happy.

I saved my money to wait for the other transfer because I don't want to use it on different things. I will use all the money on my house materials, I don't know what exactly I will need unless I speak with the builder.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received this money. My wife and I became to sing and dance our traditional songs. We have been thinking of our children school fees for this academy year. One of my children who was living with my relative in Monrovia returned to the village due to the lack of school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I'm much more relaxed now than before because I have paid my children school fees for the year. I'm no longer worry and school fees. If I wouldn't have received this money, it would have been something different

Our main problem was about the children school fees. When I received this money, Immediately I received the money, I paid my children school fees. I also bought school materials for the children's upkeep.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
We have been living in our inlaw house for many years now and if we receive the cash transfer, we plan to build our own house and motorbike to help support our children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The only happiness I can remember is the safer delivery of my wife, because I was really worried when she was pregnant, the location we are it is really difficult to get to hospital.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
If we don't burn charcoal or make farm we have nothing to depend on, so the challenges now so far is money issues.
