How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to build my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done extremely well for me and my entire community. Since I was born, I have been living in a thatch house. However, GD transfers have empowered me financially to purchase 2.5 bundles of zinc to build my house. In the past, I couldn't afford buying zinc for myself to build a house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my recent money to purchase zinc for my new house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy. At first, I was really suffering, because I am not educated to get a job and earn cash like this. Our house is built with tash roofed, and we get worry when it starts raining. Thanks to Give Directly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference the cash transfer has done is to assist me get materials to change the tash roofed to zinc roof. It has also assisted in reducing our worries of the house leaking with the tash roofed or even breaking on us while asleep. Thanks again GD.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought one bundle of zinc, and then paid two of our children tuitions with the recent cash transfer. Thanks Give Directly for the assistance given us. I'm able to pay my children tuitions after one year plus of not paying as a father.

With the cash transfer from Give Directly I'm will make sure my children receive a better education , Rebuild my house to a modern design and invest the remaining money in my wife's oil making business. I will believe if my children are educated I'm no longer going to do hard farm work.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the past two years my wife Lucy Basayon has always been complaining of not making enough sells from her oil business. In November, my wife got a contract and our lives has been taken to a positive change. As a supportive husband it has been one major challenge for us".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I do seek contracts from villagers farm for the sustainability of my family. As a town chief I don't need to do such of wok but due to my financial challenge I'm led to of no chose but to farm. My major challenge I'm being faced with is fianaces. I Will love to give my family a better life while I'm alive because I was never given the opportunity. Without money, livesbecomes unbearable that I believe"
