How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life is different in that I have been able to pay my children's school fees and this has given me a peace of mind seeing them attending school. Before, children not being at school due lack of money brought a lot of stress in my mind. I am so grateful to GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well in giving money directly to people which has enabled them acquire household items like clothes, livestock, taxi motorcycles and wives. In addition, it gives you money in whole sum in the manner promised without any hitch. I don't see anything it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was to pay school fees, labour for weeding my gardens, and balance is saved to take care of next school fees.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received money from GiveDirectly, I felt happy and ululated because I had never held money worth a million in my life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
Rented Agricultural land worth UGX 1300,000, clothing/household goods (utensils, bed, curtains and a mattress) worth UGX 200,000. There is a balance of UGX 200,000 which I'm planning to spend on paying school fees for my 2 children who are in boarding section.
