How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that my family is happy because my children now sleep on mattresses, feed well and we are constructing a good house unlike before my husband and I used to quarrel most of the time due to lack of household necessities but now we are staying in harmony.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has done to support us financally in that I'm building a house for my family which would have not been possible with out GD support, and there is nothing bad GD has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy cement at 300,000ugx, making bricks at 500,000ugx, mattress at 215,000ugx, medical bills at 17,000ugx, and paid debt worth 600,000ugx.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been empowered to start the contruction project. My children also sleep on good beddings now.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for stocking produce(6 bags of millet) inorder to resale when prices go high, I bought 2 mattress and I have used 200, 000ugx for burning bricks for construction, the balance is 300, 000ugx which am still planing for.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to build a permanent iron-roofed house and buy land. The iron-roofed house will provide better shelter to sleep and the land shall be cultivated to produce crop yields.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Normally I like chatting with my children in the evening and this makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of money for building a permanent house.
