How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The difference in my life is that l am now staying in a very neat nice tile house which is very easy to clean I do not not take to much time while cleaning it as used to do before. I also no longer smear my house with cow dang as before nor do I spend money to pay people to smear it for me being that I am old and so I could not have done all those if I could not have received money from give directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did very well by giving people phones because some of us have never own a phone in their life and this was a privilege to us. It was also a good thing that the money was being sent direct to our phone and not using third party for money to reach us.l am happy and pleased with their system helping the needy. I did not see any thing that Give directly did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the whole second transfer to buy tiles and bags of cement and tiled my house which I was not able to tile before l received the cash transfer from GD, due to low source of income. I have tried so much saving money to tile my house but I could not manage. So when I got the money I knew that I was going to achieve my dream of tiling my house. I am very impressed I am now staying in a very nice tiled house like other people and I even feel very comfortable to be part of the village. My main reason for tiling my house and not plastered it is because tile is very durable and easy to clean compared to plastered house . I was also tired of smearing the house using cow dang every now and then.
